LCN Nail Polish

A gel polish manicure delivers the same durability of gel nails by using a specially formulated gel nail polish. Nails are cleaned and buffed and a specially formulated base coat is applied and set under an ultraviolet light for 1 to 3 minutes. A coat of gel nail polish is applied, and again the nails are set under the ultraviolet light to dry. Ultraviolet light reacts with the formula of the gel polish to speed up the drying time and harden the polish. The resulting manicure is extremely durable, lasting anywhere from two to four weeks without a chip. Gel nail polish requires extensive soaking and filing by a manicurist for removal.

What are LCN Nails?

LCN nails is an abbreviation of light concept gel nails. It is a cosmetic fingernail extension considered to be a superior alternative to acrylics. They are known for their lightweight flexibility and long lasting durability. LCN nails are free of harmful chemicals that damage nails. They are also considered to be the most realistic looking nail extensions because of their clarify and honey-like texture.

The LCN Resin

LCN nails are made of a agel-like cured resin. The type of gel used in these nail extensions is free from acids and harmful chemicals that erode the nail beds. Light cured nails are different than normal gel nails because they use light-cured synthetic resins. This type of resin becomes hard when cured in the special light unit used in salons. The process makes the nails flexible and strong, The LCN nail resin is a derivative of the dental resin that was used for infilling teeth.

The Benefits of LCN Nails

The LCN nail is safer for nail technicians because they do not contain harmful fumes or chemicals. They are also easier to apply and remove. LCN Gel Nails are non-porous and do not weaken the wearer’s natural nails, but protect them. They are also more durable than acrylic nails, won’t discolor over time and they have a more realistic appearance.

Pros and Cons of Acrylic Nails

Acrylics are very popular, many nails salons offer the service. Acrylics are affordable, costing at an average of $35 for a full set and $15 for refills. Many nail technicians are experienced in working with this type of nail, so you don’t have to search very hard to find someone skilled in this type of artificial nail. The biggest benefit of acrylic nails is durability. “Acrylic is so, so strong. It lets your client manage whatever’s going on, with less worry of cracks, breaks, and lifting because it’s so resilient.”

On the downside, acrylics can look unnatural if applied incorrectly. These nails are also very difficult to remove without damaging the nail bed, which means you have to pay up for costly refills every few weeks or suffer the growing out period of your damaged natural nails after removal. Some work places also don’t allow acrylic nails due to the hygiene hazard of long nails, which can trap dirt and debris. Acrylics also emit a very strong smell during the application process, because of the chemicals involved.

What is a pedicure service?

A pedicure is a form of treatment for the feet, which removes any dead skin, softens the hard skin and shapes and treats the toenails. Pedicure treatments will vary by the type of massage and polish and are the best way of ensuring that you are caring for your feet properly. Here are a few of the benefits that you will enjoy:

  • Pedicures will relax and soothe you. After the pedicurist has massaged various softening points and soothed creams into the feet, you will feel like you are walking on air.
  • Regular pedicures will support your chiropody if you have foot problems. That will eliminate the need for any further treatment.
  • Pedicures can also help your posture so that you can walk comfortably on your cared-for feet.

Basic pedicure

With the basic pedicure treatment, the pedicurist will start by soaking your feet in water to help soften any dead skin cells and to soothe the cuticles. They will then clean your toenails, file and clip them. You will then be able to select the length and shape of the toenails before moisturiser is applied to the feet in addition to a massage. The technician will then paint the toenails with your choice of nail polish.

Gel pedicure by LCN

If you need something fancier or long-lasting, the gel pedicure is a perfect choice. Also known as ashellac pedicure, gel pedicure involves the application of a gel that looks more like the standard nail polish and the technician will apply it similarly, but you will hold the nails under UV light between each coat. That cures the gel faster and the toenails will be dry after the application of the third coat. The shellac or gel will last for several weeks without chipping – making your pedicure easier to maintain.
